Blu-ray on Xbox 360?
Rumored Report:
When the first Xbox 360’s were released, their main focus there was HD integration. “They had No discussions regarding Blu-Ray integration.” But once the PlayStation 3 was released later, they assumed that it wouldn’t get a lot of sales. Not until the stats came out. In the first six weeks, The PlayStation 3 sold 1 million units, worldwide. That’s the fastest sold video gaming.
The Xbox 360 however sold 600,000 units in their first six weeks. That’s a 40% difference in sales! Think of how Microsoft’s first reaction to this was! They would’ve been angry at the big difference. So, the Microsoft Xbox company went back to the drawing board. This was how the Xbox 360 Elite and Xbox 360 Arcade were formed.
But, they still saw that the PS3 was slightly edging their sales. So, they’re Rumored to be adding the Blu-ray, since the PS3 has gotten better reviews that the 360. If they do add Blu-Ray, Xbox 360’s will become slightly cheaper, since Blu-Ray is cheaper than HD. But HD could be better than Blu-Ray, reports say.
True or False:
This is still an unsure rumor, just because of how detailed this rumor is and how new the rumor is. I’ve heard it’s false because some people say that it won’t be the major feature for the 360, since the PS3 already has Blu-Ray. But they did claim that all ideas would be heard and taken into consideration.
