Will the Wii MotionPlus work with games made prior to it’s release or just with the one’s made for it?

I’ve heard that there are atleast 4 different games coming out made specifically for the new remote. Does this mean that Wii MotionPlus is compatible ONLY with these new games and it will not work with older ones or that it works with all games but the newer ones will make full/better use of the new remote?

I guess it all depends on what exactly you mean by “Work”???

I’m pretty sure that you will still be able to play all of your older games while it is attached… (it’s just a little thing that attaches to the end of the Wii-remote)… but, it will only “enhance” the playability of the new games that are created just for it.

As far as future games are concerned… I think that eventually ALL of the new games made for the Wii will be made for the “enhanced” Wii-MotionPlus.

At least, I think that’s what Nintendo is hoping for…

I think we will probably see (sometime in the future) an all-in-one Wii-remote that comes with the “Wii-MotionPlus” already attached. Nintendo is already making new “jackets” for the remote (that will accommodate the new attachment).
