Note: This product is not sold with a Hard Disk included. You will need to purchase a hard disk drive separately. The HDD inserted must be formatted in FAT32 if you want to connect the unit to a TV for file browsing, the HDD can also include an NTFS partition for simple external disk operation (via USB only), therefore to use as a stand-alone media unit we recommend formatting your entire disk in FAT32.

Also supports the copyfrees solution. Would be nice if the unit provided NAS support, but if you know telnet commands the unix cp command works fine. Their is a network copy command using menues from the remote, but what fun is that. The suplied software will only format a 500gb disk, haven’t tried to format 1.5tb to fat32 using fat32format yet. Does not support NTFS for writes, reads work fine.

Does ps3 40gb support USB, Wi-Fi and HDMI connectivity?
On argos it only says that for the 80gb version, but not for 40gb.
so wondering weather the 40gb version supports USB, Wi-Fi and HDMI connectivity, all powered by the Cell Broadband Engine (TM).

wherever you got you’re sources from, there wrong!
the only thing is that the 80 gig has more usb ports (4) and the 40 gig has less(2)
all ps3 models support wi-fi connectivity no questions no problems no differences!
all ps3’s also support hdmi, all of them only have 1 hdmi port, but you can buy an add-on at eb games/gamestop that will add more hdmi ports to the ps3!
