Dugi’s Ultimate Guide Review: Features You Didn’t Know About Dugi’s Ultimate Guide

There is a plethora of good World of Warcraft leveling guides available to the public. What makes one better than another really depends on the demands of the end user. I’m a middle aged dad with very little time to devote to playing WOW. Whatever time I do have I want to be as pleasant, effective and action-packed as possible. All of these factors go into my recommendation of Dugi’s Ultimate Guide. After reading this review, you will have been exposed to several features of Dugi’s Ultimate Guide that makes it such an important tool to busy dads such as me.

First and foremost, Dugi’s is an all in-game leveling guide. That means everything you need to know is available in game. No longer do you need to Alt+Tab to Thotbot or any other database to get information on your current quest. For those of you who like checklists, all of the quests are available in book/printable format.

If you are a novice, the leveling guide is worth the price of admission alone. However, for the semi-experienced player, Dugi’s Ultimate Guide is chocked full of everything else you will ever need. For example, there is an in-game leveling talent guide. Being able to level fast is great but knowing how to build my talent points speeds my experience even faster! No other leveling guide has that. There are class guides and race guides. There is even a gear guide which helps me select the right gear for my character at the right time. All of these features not only help me level faster bust also develop my character to be the best he or she can be.

Dugi’s Ultimate Guide takes this philosophy two steps further. Not only do they want your character to be powerful, but they want your character to be rich and effective in PVP mode. Having copious amount of gold helps you get all that great swag you have only seen with elite players. How fun would it be to have the best armor and weapons while tooling around on a flying mount

Admittedly I’m not much of a PVP player. I just don’t have the time for it. Regardless, there is enough information included in Dugi’s Ultimate Guide to make any character a well round PVP powerhouse.

The cost of Dugi’s Ultimate Guide is a bit steep at $47 for Alliance or Horde Guides or $67 for both. However, when you consider how much time you save focusing just on a hard-core  enjoyable playing experience, the price is well justified. If you are like me and would like to start intensifying your sparse playing time, I highly encourage you to check out Dugi’s Ultimate Guide or consider other fine leveling guides at http://DaddysWoWGuideReview.com.

Time travel ethics issue?

After playing the game “World of Warcraft” I was confronted with a moral dilemma: What will we do if we can travel time freely? In the game “The Bronze Dragonflight” protects the time line and treats it as something sacred, while “The Infinite Dragonflight” goes back in time to manipulate it. My question is: who is right? If we could go back in time should we change things for the better? Should we go back and stop WWI from happening so that WWII and the Holocaust never happened? Or should the time line be treated as “que sara sara” what ever will be will be.

Strange how a game can get you thinking about philosophy.

It’s a tough issue. I would be reluctant to change the timeline except if, say, humanity’s very existence was threatened. The problem is unintended consequences. By preventing WW1 & 2, we could potentially save 20 million lives, and avoid the horrors of the Nazi regime. But what if the result was that we didn’t prevent World War, but only delayed it…until after the US & USSR had a hefty stockpile of nuclear weapons. Maybe the Bay of Pigs goes just a little more badly–in our time, we actually came quite close to nuclear war over that incident. What if by postponing WW1 & 2, the result is a full-scale nuclear war that kills billions instead of millions, and sets human civilization back a thousand years?

Another problem with manipulating the timeline is, where do you draw the line? Who decides what should be changed? What if someone tried to change the timeline who was a religious or political extremist? Should we change the timeline to swing elections in a particular direction? It is questionable whether the power to alter time should be available to anyone. As the saying goes, power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Back to the problem of unintended consequences, I remember an episode of “Star Trek: Voyager” where Janeway encounters a time-traveling ship whose crew is trying to alter time to expand their homeworld’s empire. But instead they screw up big time, and are more or less stuck trying to fix their mistakes, and each fix creates mistakes of its own. Only when Janeway destroys their ship does the timeline straighten itself out.

There is another ethical issue with altering the timeline. I’m listening to a podcast called “The Future and You,” and the host is interviewing the author of a sci-fi book called “Nobody Gets the Girl.” The background of the story is that one morning, this guy wakes up essentially disembodied–invisible, and having only very limited ability to touch or affect things. The problem was caused because a scientist traveled back in time and inadvertently changed the present, and now in this present the guy was never born. He only continues to exist because of a quantum mechanical quirk. But he manages to talk with the scientist, and asks the scientist to go back and correct the problem. The scientist says he’d like to, but he’s already destroyed one world (the previous “present”) and doesn’t feel he has the right to destroy another. In the new timeline where the guy was never born, his parents met and had two daughters instead. Changing the timeline back to the way it was originally would mean wiping out those two daughters in order to save one life. Tough, huh?
