Wii Troubleshooting – How To Perform A Wii Troubleshoot And Where To Get The Information
I had been looking for information on the net on wii troubleshooting, to enable me to sort any problems I have on the wii. I had some power issues and a black screen wii in the past and could not seem to sort out the problems once and for all.
The internet is not fruitful for these sorts of searches. There seemed to be no wii troubleshooting information or wii maintenance guides that talked you through a number of the common problems that wii owners face.
Every forum or yahoo answers or places like that always kept saying to send back to Nintendo and they would fix it. Now I don’t know about you but I would not like to lose my wii for 6 weeks also because I am out of warranty Nintendo would also charge me $75 for the privilege.
However the other week one of my colleagues at work mentioned a guide that he bought that sorted his wii troubleshooting problems. I knew it wasn’t just me that had some problems with the wii. Anyway this wii troubleshooting guide sorted his disk cannot be read issue and he swore by it.
I went online to the website to check it out. The site seemed good and they had a number of problems on their site that they said they could fix; the thing that sold it to me was that if I wasn’t completely happy they would give me a full 60 day money back guarantee. I really had nothing to lose so I bought the guide at $25, which is $50 less than what I would have paid Nintendo and I would not lose my wii for 6 weeks.
After having read the guide from cover to cover I was impressed with the way it was written in simple to understand terms. I started going through the fixes it mention for my black screen wii and after 20 minutes my wii was fully operational again. I couldn’t believe how easy it was and it also saved me $50.
There was also a maintenance chapter included and now I perform a fortnightly maintenance on my wii so that no further problems arise.
In summary if you have any problems with your wii like a black screen wii, or disk cannot be read or power issue or something completely different. Before you send your wii back to Nintendo and lose it for 6 weeks and also lose $75 buy this guide as it could save you a lot of time and trouble for something you can fix yourself.

How can I put my nintendo wii into a standby mode (yellow power light)?
When I used to power off the Wii, it would by default go into standby mode (yellow power light) but now it switches off (red light). This is good but there are times (when I need to charge the remote controller batteries with the charger I bought for it) when I need to return it to standby instead of leaving it switched on (green power light) please.
try flicking the power switch mine goes orange into standby mode or if i hold it in it switches off and goes red x
